From the Peterborough Family Health Team:
We are happy to share that we have received funding for the continuation of our unattached patient clinics beyond March 31, 2020. Although a formal announcement has yet to be made, this means that the Peterborough Virtual Care Clinic (PVCC) in Peterborough City and the PFHT Clinic located in Lakefield will continue to provide care to our unattached population.
I would like to take this opportunity to provide an update on current care options for our unattached in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic. These plans will remain nimble as our local situation evolves.
The PFHT Clinic in Lakefield will be closed for the next two weeks minimum. Patients seeking care during this closure will be cared for by the PVCC. Calls will be taken and forwarded on accordingly to PVCC or a voice message will be left directing patients to contact the Peterborough office.
Peterborough Virtual Care Clinic (PVCC)
The PVCC is open and available on a restricted basis for unattached patients. Patients seeking care are asked to call the clinic at 705-536-0882 to book an appointment, walk-ins will NOT be accepted. The hours of the clinic will flex day to day dependent on COVID-19 precautions as well as demand. Where possible, appointments will take place virtually (either via phone or OTN video conference) in an effort to limit in-person contact. This clinic is available to any residents of Peterborough City or County who do not have access to a local primary care provider. Lastly, as per PVCC policy, narcotic prescriptions are not available to any patients who seek care at this clinic.
