The City of Peterborough, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region, is pleased to advise that applications for the 2019 Peterborough Renovates Program will be available on April 15, 2019. This program helps people make critical repairs so they can stay in their own homes.
“The Peterborough Renovates Program is for eligible low to moderate homeowners in the City and County of Peterborough. Homeowners can access interest-free, forgivable loans to complete urgent repairs or reduce physical barriers to accessibility,” said Manager of Housing Services, Rebecca Morgan Quin.
“There is limited funding available and this may be the last year for the program. In order to be considered for this opportunity, we encourage interested applicants to attend upcoming Information Sessions and ensure that completed application forms are submitted to Habitat for Humanity by May 24, 2019 at 4 p.m.”
For details about upcoming Information Sessions in April and for other program information, call Habitat for Humanity at 705-750-1456 or email Susan.
Funds are provided by the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario. Eligible applicants will be considered for funding on a priority basis considering both income and the type of repair/modification.
The Peterborough Renovates Program 2019 Backgrounder (pdf – 98KB) document provides a summary of the program requirements. The evaluation criteria and other program details are outlined in the Program Guidelines.
