The Douro-Dummer Fire Department is a volunteer fire service with over 50 volunteer firefighters. The Township firefighters, five fire stations, 13 fire apparatus, and three boats are under the direction of a full-time fire chief.

Firefighter recruitment occurs in the fall of the year; recruitment has closed for 2018. The 2018 Firefighter Recruitment Package (pdf – 219KB) is available for information purposes only.
