The Douro-Dummer Fire Dept. is now accepting applications for the position of volunteer firefighter for Donwood fire station 1, Douro fire station 2, and White Lake fire station 5. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the provision of an essential service in your community. Mandatory application forms, including job description and information package may be picked up at the Municipal Office in Warsaw or printed from our website.
Preference may be given to candidates who live closest to the fire stations.

The Township of Douro-Dummer is looking for an Equipment Operator to join it’s team!
Duties include operating machinery such as graders, backhoes and other pieces of equipment. This position requires a Class “A” driver’s license with “Z” endorsement. Proven chainsaw operation, propane handling certificate and Surface Miner Training Certificate (basic) are required.
This position may require unusual hours to handle emergency or poor weather conditions.

Recycling Collection on Thanksgiving Day (Monday, October 10) will take place as usual.

Garbage Collection that usual takes place on Monday will be moved to Tuesday. Tuesday collection will be moved to Wednesday.

The Kiddie Kaper play program will be starting October 3 and running until November 28. The program takes place Monday’s from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Douro-Dummer Townhall located at 894 South Street. In recognition of Hannah’s great achievements at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, with the Women’s Seven Rugby Team and in celebration of their bronze medal win, the Township will be hosting a special ceremony on September 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in the Millennium Garden, located next to the Township Office at 894 South Street, in the Hamlet of Warsaw.

The Township has updated the Planning Fees By-Law to move closer to a cost-recovery model. These fees include Planning Act regulated services such as Minor Variance Applications, Zoning By-Law Amendments and Site Plan Approvals.
