Tree and vegetation removal will be taking place on Pioneer Road from Nassau Mills Road to 450 metres west of Douro Ninth Line in the City of Peterborough. This is set to begin on Monday, November 14th, 2016. As a result traffic and lane closures may occur. For additional info, please see attached notice.

The Township of Douro-Dummer boasts two arenas with available ice rental in Warsaw and Douro. Both arenas also feature recreation rooms for rent.

A Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at the Warsaw Cenotaph on November 11th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
Prayers will be read and the Roll of Honour will be recited by Mayor J. Murray Jones.
Following the ceremony, lunch will be served in the Town Hall at the Municipal Building (894 South Street) and all are welcome.

Township of Douro-Dummer Committee Appointment Information
The Township of Douro-Dummer will be hosting the annual Santa Claus parade on Saturday, November 26 in the hamlet of Warsaw.
The parade will begin at 5:00 P.M. at the Warsaw Public Works garage and continue through the village. The theme this year is “The Music and Magic of Christmas.” For parade entries, contact Shelagh Landsmann at 705-877-2884 or Alison Hodgin at 705-652-9248.
Following the parade will be a tree lighting ceremony held in the gazebo next to the Town Hall in Warsaw. Children will be invited to visit with Santa and to drop off letters and have hot chocolate.
Donations in support of the Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony are always welcome and can be sent or dropped off at the Township Municipal Office in Warsaw.
Important Reminder: Due to safety concerns, the throwing of candy from floats is prohibited.

Recycling pick up for those who land on Boxing Day (Monday, December 26) will be cancelled this year.
No other changes will be made for the remainder of the year. Changes can be seen on the County of Peterborough Website or the Waste App.
