The Kiddie Kaper play program will be starting October 3 and running until November 28. The program takes place Monday’s from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Douro-Dummer Townhall located at 894 South Street. The Township of Douro-Dummer is pleased to announce that September 20, 2016 will be Hannah Darling Day.
In recognition of Hannah’s great achievements at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, with the Women’s Seven Rugby Team and in celebration of their bronze medal win, the Township will be hosting a special ceremony on September 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in the Millennium Garden, located next to the Township Office at 894 South Street, in the Hamlet of Warsaw.
We invite all of our residents and community members to attend this great event and meet our own hometown hero, Hannah Darling.

The Township has updated the Planning Fees By-Law to move closer to a cost-recovery model. These fees include Planning Act regulated services such as Minor Variance Applications, Zoning By-Law Amendments and Site Plan Approvals. The Township of Douro-Dummer is seeking Request for Proposals for the supply, installation and set up of computer office chairs.
Sealed proposals, clearly marked RFP-GG-2016-01 will be received by the undersigned no later than 1 p.m. on October 7, 2016.
Municipal Request for Proposals forms may be obtained from the Municipal Office or from the municipal website at www.dourodummer.on.ca and must be used. RPF – GG -2016-01 – Supply, Install and Setup of Office Chairs
Lowest or any proposal not necessarily accepted. In the event only one proposal is received the Township of Douro-Dummer reserves the right to either accept or refuse it. The bidder agrees to save the municipality harmless of any compensation if the request for proposal is cancelled. Proposals received after the closing date and time will be returned unopened.

Coming into it’s second year, Local Food Month in Peterborough County promotes the purchasing of local products from local farmers, food processors and retailers.

The County of Peterborough is currently reviewing Sign By-law No. 2007-55 which regulates the placement of signs or other advertising devices on and within 400 meters of County roadways.
The installation of third-party advertising signs (Bush Country Signs) is permitted under the current By-law and the continued installation of these signs is of particular interest to County Council.
