Douro-Dummer Historical Committee
The Historical Committee consists of one (1) member of Council and eleven (11) community members. The Historical Committee is very active undertaking projects throughout the whole municipality to preserve our heritage. Such projects include putting together a display of historical items at the Public Library, restoration of our abandoned cemeteries, producing a Historical Brochure which provides information about the location of cemeteries, old school houses, cheese factories, log houses, etc. and much more.
The Heritage Log Barn Survey Book depicting local log structures is available for purchase at the Township office for $25.
