County Road 29 will be closed to all traffic from Stewart Drive to Highway 28 from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Sunday, June 24, 2018 for the Lakefield Youth Triathlon.

Athletes and the race will have the right of way on Stewart Drive (8:00 a.m. to noon), but the roads of Winfield Shores will be open to local traffic.

Peterborough Police Service officers will be situated at the intersections of Queen Street and Stewart Drive (in Lakefield), to direct through traffic from the South to turn around; at the intersection of County Road 29 and Highway 28, to direct through traffic from the North to detour via Strickland Street to access the village and at the intersection of Queen Street and Strickland Street (in Lakefield) to ensure only local traffic heads North up Queen Street.

There will be barriers and signs in place for the road closures, and volunteers ready to move barriers out of the way in the event of an emergency.
