In the coming weeks, Parks Canada will be conducting spring maintenance at some of their swing bridges and sites along the Trent-Severn Waterway, in preparation for the 2018 navigation season. This includes preventative maintenance tasks like washing and greasing swing bridges and conducting visual inspections to ensure their safe operation.
Parks Canada Temporary Bridge Closures for regular spring maintenance (weather permitting):
McFarlane Street Bridge (Peterborough), 24 hours
April 10, 2018 at 6:00 a.m. until April 11, 2018 at 6:00 a.m.
Warsaw Road Swing Bridge (Peterborough)
May 1, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Maria Street Swing Bridge (Peterborough), 48 hours
April 20, 2018 at 6:00 a.m. until April 22, 2018 at 6:00 a.m.
Seasonal maintenance on the below bridges that cross the Trent-Severn Waterway will not result in closures, but vehicles may experience short delays of about 10 minutes from April 9, 2018 to mid-May:

Glen Ross Swing Bridge
Ranney Falls Swing Bridge (Campbellford)
Hastings Swing Bridge
Bobcaygeon Swing Bridge
Bolsover Swing Bridge

Hamlet Swing Bridge (on Canning Road near Washago)
Port Severn Swing Bridge
